Subdomains are commonly used by organizations that wish to assign a unique name to a particular department, function, or service related to the organization. For example, mail.example.com or secure.example.com

Every time someone visits your site a small amount of data travels from us to them. This is because their browser first receives, and then displays your web page that is held on our servers. As a rough guide 100GB would allow millions of visits a month!
